We are an organization dedicated to mobilizing, training, and empowering citizens, civil society, and young people to engage meaningfully in public management and democratic processes. Our work focuses on peace, democracy, and climate change.
Why was VozEs born?
Thanks to the mobilization of young people, citizens, and civil society, Colombia has undergone significant transformations in recent years. These changes have sparked local processes that will be crucial in shaping the society we will live in.
We firmly believe that achieving justice in a centralized and unequal society requires amplifying the voices of those who have not been heard. That is why VozEs is dedicated to mobilizing, training, and empowering local leaders committed to transforming their communities through concrete and effective actions.
Youth Environmental Academies
The Academies are active participation spaces designed specifically for young people. Through training in public management and leadership, they aim to foster behavioral changes among Colombian youth, encouraging them to take on positions of power in decision-making spaces such as Local Action Boards, Municipal Assemblies, Governor’s Offices, Mayor’s Offices, Congress, and more.
Additionally, they seek to empower youth in influential spaces such as civil society organizations, youth platforms, and Community Action Boards, enabling them to shape environmental policy and decision-making in their territories.

What We Do

National Environmental Convention
The Convention opened doors for the creation of a national movement that facilitates oversight and communication among environmental leaders from different regions of the country to collaborate on three specific issues: reforestation of the Amazon, territorial organization for the granting of environmental licenses, and the democratization of water.
Social Service for Peace
Created by Law 2272 of 2022 and regulated by Decree 1079 of 2024, this program offers young people an alternative to mandatory military service. It allows them to actively participate in peacebuilding and make a significant contribution to ending armed conflict and violence in Colombia.
